Lesley Briones doesn’t measure up when it comes to her record on ethics.
It wasn't easy to make the decision to call out Judge Briones' questionable ethics on campaign donations, but we think voters deserve to know.
A considerable paper trail exists linking Briones’ legal record to her political contributions. Attorneys who have argued cases before her have contributed at least $54,000 to her campaign, plus she’s accepted another $54,000 from companies that do business with the county.
In fact, attorneys who have given Judge Briones campaign money have argued at least 419 cases in her court.
Below is a table that lists contributors over $1,000 who have argued cases in front of Judge Briones. There could be many more who contributed less than $1,000.
We don't think that's the way judges should do business and we don't think that's the kind of ethics we need on Commissioners Court.
